The Fiesta Rosa del Azafrán in Consuegra is set to celebrate its 64th edition from 17 to 25 October 2026. Declared a Regional Tourist Interest, this festival is one of the key autumn events in Castilla-La Mancha, providing a unique opportunity to discover saffron, local cuisine, folklore, and the traditions of this Manchegan town.
Celebrating saffron
Since 1963, Consuegra has paid tribute to the so-called "red gold" of La Mancha with a festival that combines heritage, culture, and tradition. During this period, the town transforms into a meeting point for those wishing to learn about saffron and enjoy one of the most iconic landscapes of Castilla-La Mancha: Cerro Calderico, featuring its windmills and the Castle of Consuegra.
As in previous editions, the celebration will revolve around saffron-related traditions and will include a variety of cultural, gastronomic, and folkloric activities. Highlights will include competitions for saffron picking, a gastronomic contest, the Molienda de la Paz, the National Folklore Festival, and guided tours through the Tierra de Azafrán.

- 19:00 - Gathering of Dulcinea, the Proclaimer, and Authorities at the Town Hall, followed by a parade to the Teatro Auditorio Don Quijote.
- 19:30 - Proclamation of Dulcinea 2026, Ms. Soledad Tendero Perulero. Proclaimer: Ms. Carolina Palencia García. Performance by the Traditional Dance Schools and the children's choir and dance group “Rosa del Azafrán” from Consuegra. Entry: €2.
