The 'Con todas las letras' literary series is set to bring some of Spain's most notable authors to Alicante for the final events of the year at the Instituto Alicantino de Cultura Juan Gil-Albert.

On 28 October, Casa Bardin will host Julio Llamazares, a distinguished literary figure recently awarded the National Narrative Prize for his novel El viaje de mi padre. Llamazares has been a finalist for the National Literature Prize twice, with his novels Luna de lobos and La lluvia amarilla. His extensive body of work spans various literary genres, including poetry, travel literature, and screenwriting.

Following Llamazares, on 13 November, Pablo Álvarez will engage with readers about his book La necesidad de amar, which earned him the latest Azorín Novel Prize, awarded by the Diputación de Alicante and Planeta publishing house. Álvarez, who is also an editor and literary agent, has studied scriptwriting and direction in Cuba and Barcelona and currently heads his own literary agency, Editabundo.

Finally, on 1 December, Sara Barquinero will appear at Casa Bardin to discuss her career and latest novel, La chica más lista que conozco. A doctor in philosophy and an accomplished writer, Barquinero has published several novels and has been recognised for her contributions to literature, including her recent work Los Escorpiones, which has been acclaimed as the Best Novel of 2024.

Barquinero has also collaborated with various media outlets, including El Mundo and Babelia, and has taught creative writing at universities and cultural centres.

These events highlight the vibrant literary culture in Alicante and the continued importance of literature in Spanish society.
