Eivissa local security board reports positive safety indicators for tourism season

The Eivissa Town Hall hosted a meeting of the Local Security Board, led by Mayor Rafael Triguero, to review the tourism season and emphasise the city’s strong safety indicators. Eivissa continues to be a secure municipality for both residents and visitors.

During the meeting, the close collaboration between the Local Police, the National Police, and the Guardia Civil was praised, along with the results of joint operations conducted in recent months. Notably, the partnership between the Local Police and the Maritime Service of the Guardia Civil resulted in 37 reports for infractions along the municipality's coastline.

Additionally, the Local Police and National Police jointly responded to 95 incidents during the tourist season, implementing various coordinated surveillance and security measures.

The meeting also noted that cases of gender-based violence reported in the VioGén system this year are lower than in previous years. Future planning for special security measures was discussed, in light of the general strike scheduled for 11 November and the general elections set for 29 November.

Participants in the meeting included Insular Director Raquel Guasch; ISPIB Director Juan Antonio Miralles Amengual, representing the Consellera of the Presidency; Local Police Chief José Luis del Blanco; Local Police Technical Director Julián Córdoba; National Police Commissioner Alfonso Ares; Guardia Civil Commander Juan Carlos González; and the Town Hall Secretary.
