Upcoming performances
- 'voa' by Gata Japonesa Sunday 8 November / 18:00. La Casa+Grande circus tent. Children under 18: €3. Adults: €6 (see discounts). Suitable for all audiences. This production, part of the Community of Madrid's Theatre Network, features Diego García as the performer. He invites the audience to reflect: “When did you stop seeing life through the eyes of a child? When did your hands stop moving freely to create worlds, following scripts that no longer understand? Allow yourself. Let’s play! Let’s return to innocence, like a puppet moved by the strings of illusion.” In 'voa', a spectator enters the stage space and dares to dance, play, laugh, imagine, and touch the limits of the absurd, embracing their inner child.
- 'la bruja rechinadientes' by Katúa&Galea Teatro Sunday 15 November / 18:00. Pilar Bardem Auditorium. Children under 18: €3. Adults: €6 (see discounts). Suitable for ages 4 and up. This puppet theatre show, part of the state programme Platea (INAEM and FEMP), is directed by David Galeano and features performers Pilar Borrego, Alfonso Peña, and Víctor Cerezo. The story follows three siblings who, ignoring their mother's warnings, venture into a dark and mysterious forest where anything can happen. The youngest, fearful and aware of the danger, tries to warn his older siblings but ultimately decides to join them. Lost and unable to find their way back, they enter the witch's house, drawn by the smell of food. The performance combines humour, adventure, and mystery, complemented by a beautiful soundtrack.
- 'la doncella guerrera' by Tropos Sunday 22 November / 18:00. Covibar Hall. Children under 18: €3. Adults: €6 (see discounts). Suitable for ages 6 and up. This puppet theatre show, also part of the Community of Madrid's Theatre Network, is authored by Guillermo Gil and Eduardo Guerrero, with direction by Guillermo Gil. The tale follows the Count of Ayllón, who, without male heirs, sends his youngest daughter, Martina, disguised as a knight to fight for the kingdom. Martina saves the prince, who falls in love with her, suspecting she is not a man but a woman. To uncover her identity, he subjects her to various trials, which she cleverly overcomes. Before being discovered, she returns home and reveals that she served as a brave maiden for two years. This performance is an adaptation of the Castilian romance 'La doncella guerrera', collected by Menéndez Pidal.
