Acoustic concert ‘Intimísimo’ brings music and emotion to the XXIII Antonio Cano Cultural Week

The La Ermitilla Exhibition Hall recently hosted the ‘Intimísimo’ acoustic concert on 18 October, an event included in the XXIII Antonio Cano Cultural Week, organised by the Santiago Apóstol Cultural Association. The concert was attended by the Mayor of Quintanar de la Orden, Pablo Nieto Toldos, along with several municipal council members.

This intimate performance showcased a new musical project featuring Jesús Antonio Vela on piano and organ, and Esmeralda Fernández as the lead vocalist. The duo presented a wide-ranging repertoire of songs that explored various emotions and life experiences, from the joy of love to heartbreak, freedom, and the complexities of feelings.

During the event, Marciano Ortega, President of the Santiago Apóstol Cultural Association, highlighted the addition of this musical initiative to a cultural week that encompasses various artistic disciplines, including painting, sculpture, and literature. He also expressed gratitude towards Paco López for his crucial support in launching this new project.

Antonio Vela explained that ‘Intimísimo’ aims to share music with closeness and sensitivity, inviting the audience to connect with the stories and emotions conveyed through the songs. Esmeralda Fernández also shared her excitement for the initiative and her hope for its continuation in future performances.

The programme featured well-known songs from artists such as Carla Morrison, Enrique Urquijo, M-Clan, Ana Belén, and Rocío Dúrcal, blending classic national and international music with various interpretative styles.

This initiative allows the XXIII Antonio Cano Cultural Week to continue providing opportunities for audiences to enjoy diverse artistic expressions, bringing live music closer to the public and enriching the cultural offerings of Quintanar de la Orden. The duo is set to perform again on Saturday, 24 October, at the Sala de Recreo, coinciding with a wine tasting event organised by ASPRODIQ, offering another chance to experience this musical project.
