The Cabildo de Fuerteventura has announced its decision to finance the completion of the Tarajalejo football pitch. This announcement follows a technical commission meeting between the Cabildo and the Tuineje Town Hall, aimed at monitoring ongoing works in the municipality as part of the Insular Municipal Cooperation Plan for Works and Services.
During the meeting, the commission reviewed the status of various projects, including those that are either completed or nearing completion. In response to a request from the Tuineje Town Hall, the Cabildo agreed to allocate the necessary funds for the final stages of the Tarajalejo football pitch, which is now in its final phase of construction.
Additionally, the commission provided updates on the pedestrianisation works in Tesejerague, which are approximately 90% complete. This initiative aims to enhance mobility and safety for pedestrians by creating an outdoor walkway with proper paving and green areas. It includes sufficient safety measures, improved public lighting, and the proper drainage of rainwater, along with a watering system for the planned vegetation.
Other completed projects discussed included improvements to the road in the locality of Cardón and the demolition of an old reservoir and its associated facilities on Betancuria Street in Gran Tarajal. Both the Cabildo de Fuerteventura and the Tuineje Town Hall emphasised the importance of inter-administrative cooperation in enhancing infrastructure and public spaces for the benefit of the community.
