The third edition of the food fair ‘Sabor a Córdoba’ has opened its doors, running from today until Sunday, with the aim of becoming a meeting point for the agricultural industry in the province of Córdoba. The president of the Diputación de Córdoba, Salvador Fuentes, inaugurated the event alongside the delegate for Economic Development, Promotion and Employment, Félix Romero.
Fuentes highlighted that ‘Sabor a Córdoba’ serves as a premier showcase that rivals major national fairs. The number of participating companies has increased from 40 in 2024 to 63 this year, reflecting the growing interest in the sector. Additionally, exports from the province have seen a significant rise, climbing from €1.2 million in 2023 to €3.45 million in 2025.
The president of the Diputación also emphasised the connection between gastronomy and tourism, noting that culinary experiences have become the third most common reason for visitors to come to Córdoba, alongside its historical and cultural heritage. Fuentes stressed the importance of having Córdoba's products featured in top restaurants and by renowned chefs worldwide.
Félix Romero added that the fair represents a public model that allows producers and farmers to sell directly to consumers. This year, a total of 48 activities will take place, with 28 focused on gastronomy, including cooking demonstrations, tastings, and workshops.
The fair is being held on the ground floor of the CEFC (Córdoba Exhibition and Congress Centre), featuring an exhibition area, a space for activities, and a showcooking zone. The fair will be open from 10 am to 8 pm on Friday and Saturday, and from 10 am to 5 pm on Sunday. Admission is free, and a complimentary shuttle bus service is available from the Diputación de Córdoba.
