The 2026 edition of the Festimax festival commenced at the Casa de la Cultura in Bertamiráns with a magic show for babies titled 'Patapatún' by magician Paco. This marks the 21st edition of the popular event in the municipality. The festival, organised by the Concello de Ames in collaboration with the Diputación de A Coruña, offers a wide range of performances and workshops suitable for all audiences.

The opening act was followed by a visit from Martilda, who entertained the elderly residents of Bertamiráns earlier today. The programme continues throughout Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, with some tickets still available for the International Magic Gala in Bertamiráns, which can be purchased through the electronic ticket office. There are also a few spots left for magic workshops, and interested participants can visit the Casas de la Cultura.

Activities continue today, Friday 23 October, with a magic session for seniors at the Casa de los Mayores in Bertamiráns, led by Martilda at 11:00. Another session for the elderly will take place at 17:00 at the JUPEMI venue in Milladoiro, also featuring Martilda. This afternoon, magician Paco will perform his children's magic show 'Juega y Magia' at the Casa de la Cultura in Milladoiro at 18:00. The Festimax programme is designed to entertain a diverse audience, starting with the opening show 'Patapatún' aimed at children aged 1 to 4, which took place yesterday, 22 October, with a large turnout.

Additionally, the elderly community can enjoy the festival, with Martilda bringing joy to this demographic. The first session for seniors occurred this morning at 11:00, with a second session scheduled for 17:00 in the JUPEMI venue. Magic workshops, led by Samuel Moreno, will accommodate 12 participants per group, aged between 8 and 14 years. These workshops will take place in Milladoiro on Saturday, 24 October, at 11:00, and in Bertamiráns on Sunday, 25 October, at 11:00 and 12:00, also at the Casa de la Cultura. There are still some places available for the workshops.

The highlight of the festival will occur on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 October, featuring some of the most awarded magicians. The Grand International Magic Gala will showcase a blend of different styles and talents, creating a unique experience. The gala will be hosted by magician Dani Polo and will include performances by David Díaz from Madrid, Cástor & Pólux from Valencia, Argentine magician Mirko Callaci, and Mag Marín from Barcelona. This event is aimed at audiences aged 6 and above, with performances on Saturday 24 at the Casa de la Cultura in Milladoiro at 17:00 and 19:30, and on Sunday 25 at the same times in Bertamiráns.
