Cristina García Viñas, the councillor for tourism in Torrelavega, has highlighted that there are still spots open for the last two sessions of 'Conecta. Slow&Play in Las Tablas', taking place on Saturdays 24 and 31 October from 10:00 to 12:00. This initiative is part of the Torrelavega Slow programme and will conclude with the session on 31 October, which marks the end of the series that began on 5 September.
The programme combines a guided tour of the Las Tablas park with games and challenges focused on observation, listening, and environmental interpretation. Its participatory format encourages both children and adults to explore the area together, learn through play, and enjoy nature at a leisurely pace.
García Viñas has urged local residents and visitors to take advantage of these final opportunities to engage in a family-friendly activity that offers a unique, close, and interactive way to appreciate the surroundings. Preliminary data from the participation and evaluation of Torrelavega Slow indicates 235 registrations, with an estimated effective participation of 206 individuals, pending the completion of remaining activities. The councillor praised this turnout as a strong endorsement of an initiative that blends nature, heritage, well-being, and family leisure.
Throughout September and October, Torrelavega Slow has provided experiences in La Viesca, Monte Dobra, the Saja-Besaya Greenway, and Las Tablas park.
