The Jaime Mata football pitch has undergone significant upgrades, featuring new artificial turf and an advanced LED lighting system, following months of renovation work at this municipal sports facility.
The new surface, covering over 7,000 square metres, is free from microplastics and complies with European regulations. The state-of-the-art artificial turf meets the standards set by Regulation (EU) 2023/2055 of the European Commission.
In addition to the turf, the facility now boasts a new LED lighting system, which provides more uniform illumination on the pitch, improving light quality while reducing energy consumption. This enhancement facilitates sporting activities during hours that require artificial light, particularly in the months with shorter daylight.
The municipal investment for these improvements exceeds €550,000, with approximately €445,000 allocated for the new artificial turf and over €105,500 for the lighting system. Following these upgrades, the sports facility is fully operational and continues to host its regular activities.
