From 29 October to 4 November, the Municipal Library in Moralzarzal will host the 41st children's and youth book fair, a prominent itinerant bibliographic exhibition organised by the Community of Madrid. This initiative provides children, young people, families, and educators with a comprehensive overview of the best new publications released throughout 2025.
The exhibition showcases a selection of 220 reviewed works published between January and December 2025. Each book includes a brief descriptive sheet detailing its plot and notable characteristics. To facilitate consultation, the books are organised by age groups:
- For the youngest
- From 6 years
- From 9 years
- From 12 years
- For young adults
Within each category, the works are further divided by genre, reflecting the richness and diversity of contemporary children's and youth literature. The selection and compilation of the catalogue have been carried out by a specialised team of librarians, educators, and experts in children's literature, in collaboration with numerous publishers in the sector.
Family storytelling event: 'come and let me tell you... and show you'
As a complementary activity to the exhibition, on Saturday, 31 October, at 12:00, the library will host the storytelling event 'Come and let me tell you... and show you', aimed at families with children aged four and above. The session will be led by CuentaCris (Cristina Hidalgo de Calcerrada), a Humanities graduate, early childhood education technician, and oral storyteller with a career spanning since 2008. Trained in performing arts, art therapy, and body expression, CuentaCris views storytelling as a pedagogical, emotional, and social tool ideal for connecting and enjoying time with family.
