The canarian mini derby between CD Tenerife C and UD Las Palmas C is just around the corner, scheduled for Saturday, 24 October, at 16:00. The match promises to deliver intense emotions as both teams vie for a position in the upper echelons of Group 12 of the Tercera Federación, with aspirations to move closer to promotion spots.
The blanquiazul second team arrives at the fixture on the back of two consecutive victories, while the yellow side has recorded three draws in Group 12 of the Tercera Federación.
Good form for Tenerife C
Tenerife C heads into the match in good form. The team has established a stronghold at the Ciudad Deportiva Javier Pérez, where they have secured important wins at the start of the 2026/2027 season. Their first victory came on 26 September, when they triumphed over UD Añaza with a score of 3-2, marking their first league win. Following this, on 10 October, they achieved a convincing 4-1 victory against SD Villaverde Norte, confirming their strength as hosts. Additionally, the Tenerife side arrives at the mini derby after two consecutive wins, scoring four goals in each match, the latest being a 2-4 away victory against San Bartolomé. Currently, they sit in sixth place with ten points, although they have a postponed match against Santa Brígida scheduled for this Wednesday.
Las Palmas C's draw streak
In contrast, UD Las Palmas C approaches the clash with a different momentum. The yellow second team has accumulated three draws in their matches so far: 1-1 against Estrella CF, 1-1 versus UD Villa de Santa Brígida, and 2-2 against CD Mensajero at the Anexo of the Gran Canaria Stadium. The team currently occupies ninth place with nine points, just one point behind their upcoming rivals.
With the standings so tight and both teams eager to make a significant move in the competition, the mini derby presents an important opportunity for both sides. Tenerife C will aim to extend their winning streak, while Las Palmas C seeks to break their draw pattern and make a statement in one of the standout matches of the day.
