The town hall of Viveiro has announced the cancellation of the Samaín celebrations and a senior dance event planned for 31 October. This decision comes in response to a tragic train accident that occurred in Toledo, reflecting a gesture of respect for the victims and solidarity with their families.
Among the cancelled activities are a children's party set to take place at the Antonio Tarrío pavilion, which included a haunted tunnel and bouncy castles, as well as a DJ event scheduled for the Plaza Mayor. Additionally, the senior dance, featuring the Dúo Caramelo, was to be held in the concert hall of the Conservatory of Music in Viveiro.
The town hall will announce new dates for the cancelled activities in the near future. They have expressed gratitude for the understanding of the local community and all those who planned to participate, while extending their heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and offering support to those affected.
