The Apego programme is set to host the Mumáxica S.L. show by Iseo, aimed at children and families, as part of its ongoing activities for the final months of the year. This engaging performance will take place on Friday, 6 November, at 18:00 at the Pazo da Peregrina in Bertamiráns.
The show features oral storytelling complemented by original music, catchy songs, interactive choreography, and a good dose of humour. It is free to attend and is suitable for families with children aged three and above. Registration is open from today, 29 October, until 5 November.
Mumáxica S.L. aims to bring Galician mythology to life in a fresh, visual, and magical way. The character Iseo, a mischievous and magical figure, will require the audience's help to navigate challenges involving giants, fog, and other incredible creatures. The main theme of the show was released in June 2026 as an independent musical single titled Mumáxica S.L.
Iseo, who is a Galician philosopher, environmental educator, and singer (known for her involvement with groups like Sacha na Horta), uses the mythical figure of the Moura to promote ecological awareness, sustainability, and the oral traditions of Galicia.
To participate, interested families must send an email to normalizacion@concellodeames.gal with the names and ages of the children attending, along with a contact phone number. Late registrations will not be accepted, and places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
The Apego programme is a linguistic dynamisation initiative aimed at families expecting a baby or with children aged 0 to 6 years. Its goal is to promote, support, and normalise the use of Galician in early childhood socialisation, providing resources and a wide range of playful and educational activities. Those interested in joining the initiative can contact the Linguistic Normalisation Service of the Concello de Ames by emailing normalizacion@concellodeames.gal or calling 662 377 215. They can also complete the 'Súmate ao apego' form available on the programme's website, apego.gal.
