Lucena showcases olive oils, ceramics and music at ‘sabor a córdoba’ fair

Lucena is set to present its renowned olive oils, traditional ceramics, and vibrant music at the III Feria Alimentaria ‘Sabor a Córdoba’. The event will take place from 23 to 25 October at the Centro de Exposiciones, Ferias y Convenciones in Córdoba, located near the Parque Joyero, with free entry for all visitors.

The Lucena programme aims to highlight three key aspects of the town's local identity through gastronomy, craftsmanship, and music. Activities will commence on Friday, 23 October at 17:00 with an olive oil tasting featuring extra virgin olive oils from the DOP Aceite de Lucena. This event will be held at the Showcooking stage, accommodating 50 participants, and will provide insights into the unique characteristics of these locally produced oils.

On Saturday, 24 October at 13:30, attendees can participate in the Taller de Cerámica Lucentina, taking place at the Artesanal Workshops stage. This artistic initiative is designed to engage visitors with one of Lucena's traditional crafts.

The local participation will culminate on the same day at 19:15 with a concert by Aras Musical titled ‘Lucena en Cuerda y Alma’, held at the Folkloric Activities stage. This performance will showcase a repertoire that the group has developed in various monumental venues across Lucena, featuring compositions by local authors and pieces related to popular celebrations.

This diverse programme not only highlights the quality of Lucena's agri-food products but also connects the town's cultural and artisanal heritage, making the fair a significant meeting point for visitors from across the province. Organised by the Diputación de Córdoba through the Instituto Provincial de Desarrollo Económico (Iprodeco), the third edition of ‘Sabor a Córdoba’ will host 63 agri-food companies and offer 48 gastronomic and cultural activities.

The fair will be open from 10:00 to 20:00 on Friday and Saturday, and from 10:00 to 17:00 on Sunday. To facilitate access, a free shuttle bus will be available from the Diputación car park, alongside free underground parking at the fairgrounds. The Ayuntamiento de Lucena encourages the public to enjoy this event and participate in the activities that will showcase the flavours, crafts, and music of the city.
