The Municipal Sports Foundation (FDM) has announced the 2026-2027 winter beach volleyball circuit, organised by the Valencian Volleyball Federation in collaboration with the Beach Bol La Malva club. The inaugural event will take place at the municipal beach volleyball facility in La Malva-rosa this weekend.
More than 200 athletes are expected to participate in this ranking event, which has already attracted a waiting list for registrations due to high interest. Notably, players from around ten different countries will be competing.
Rocío Gil, the Sports Councillor for Valencia, emphasised the city’s “sporting potential.” She stated, “We have the conditions, the facilities, and, above all, we have the best allies: a strong sports community to promote competitions in our streets and neighbourhoods.”
The winter circuit will feature a minimum of five events, taking place at key locations along the Valencian coastline. La Malva-rosa beach has been a strategic and reference point for beach volleyball for three decades, hosting both summer and winter events at national and international levels.
The competition schedule includes an amateur event on Saturday, 24 October, followed by the professional matches on Sunday, 25 October. Both events will use a 2x2 format for male and female teams. After Valencia, the circuit will continue from January to March, visiting Sant Joan d’Alacant, Benicàssim, Gandia, and Alacant.
