Ribadeo is set to host the gladiator kids event this Sunday, 25 October, as a charitable initiative. The children's obstacle race will take place in Plaza de España, beginning at 12:00.
Registration fees, which remain open until tomorrow, will be entirely donated to the local Red Cross. The event is designed for children aged 3 to 12, allowing them to engage in a fun day of sport alongside their families.
Participants will face various obstacles, and each child will receive a finisher medal upon completing the race. The event is sponsored by Mediolanum Aproxima, the charitable project of Banco Mediolanum, the Mediolanum Foundation in Spain, and the Ribadeo Town Council.
Francisco José Silvent, the town's Sports Councillor, encouraged all children in Ribadeo and the surrounding area to take part, stating, “It will be a unique day to share with family and friends, with solidarity at its core, as all funds raised will support the important work of the Red Cross in Ribadeo. The more participants we have, the more funds we can allocate to this vital organisation.”
The event's presentation included local officials such as Mayor Dani Vega, Councillor Francisco José Silvent, Rubén Castro from Banco Mediolanum, Óscar Espiñeira, manager of Nokao, and Antía Fernández, head of the Red Cross in Ribadeo.
