The winners of the 46th 'Típics Tres Tombs' photography competition were announced during a ceremony on 17 October at La Sala, a municipal exhibition space in Igualada. This year's event was held later than usual due to the scheduling of the traditional Tres Tombs festival, which took place in April instead of January.
This year's competition attracted 164 entries from 24 photographers. In the first category, which focuses on activities and the atmosphere surrounding the Tres Tombs, the first prize was awarded to Andreu Noguero Cazorla from Sitges for his work titled 'A Serrat', sponsored by Supermercats Supermas. The second prize went to M. José Sayavera Delgado from Igualada for her photograph 'Simetria', courtesy of Taller Electromecànic Pujol.
In the second category, which highlights participants in the Tres Tombs, the first prize was awarded to Manel Caballé Miquel from Igualada for his piece 'Retrat amb escut', sponsored by El Bruc Gasolinera-Cafeteria Queralt. The second prize was claimed by M. Victòria Planas Salvador from Sitges for her photograph 'Petit traginer', sponsored by Instal·lacions Litre and Amper, S.L and Bufet Font.
An additional special prize was given to Lluís Pérez Mañosas, a resident of Pobla de Claramunt, for his work 'Vermut de Reus', sponsored by the Antic Gremi de Traginers d'Igualada.
Alongside the awards, an exhibition of the submitted photographs was inaugurated, which will be open to the public until 8 November. The exhibition can be visited at La Sala, located on c/Garcia Fossas (Plaza de la Creu), with opening hours from Tuesday to Thursday and Sunday from 18:00 to 20:00, and on Saturdays and Sundays from 11:00 to 14:00, as well as Friday and Saturday evenings from 17:30 to 20:30. The venue is closed on Mondays and public holidays.
The organising entities congratulated the winners and expressed gratitude to all participants and sponsors for their support in making the competition possible once again.
