Cambrils enhances its profile as a nautical destination at the 63rd Barcelona International Boat Show

The Cambrils Tourism Board, along with the Cambrils Nautical Club and Semac, has jointly promoted Cambrils as a nautical and family-friendly destination at the 63rd edition of the Barcelona International Boat Show, held from 14 to 18 October at Port Vell. The three local entities expressed a positive assessment of their participation in this key event for the sector, which for the first time was approached as a joint effort with a shared stand.

Patricia de Miguel, the Councillor for Tourism and Economic Promotion, emphasised that “collaboration with the Cambrils Nautical Club and Semac allows us to combine efforts and present an offer that connects nautical services with the tourist attractions of the municipality.” She expressed her intention to “continue this joint work to reach new audiences and specialised markets, reinforcing Cambrils’ profile as a destination to enjoy the sea and everything it encompasses.”

The presence at the Barcelona International Boat Show has provided visibility for the municipality's nautical offerings and its potential as a destination, establishing contact with numerous individuals interested in visiting Cambrils. During the fair, attendees expressed interest in learning about the possibilities Cambrils offers, including a package that integrates nautical services, local tourist attractions, and specialised services related to the sector.

The stand also highlighted Cambrils' connection to the sea, including the fishing activities of the Fishermen's Guild and initiatives from the Local Fishing Action Group, while reinforcing the visibility of various economic and tourist activities linked to the maritime environment. Notably, there was significant interest in the facilities and services provided by the Cambrils Nautical Club for extended stays.

To address these inquiries, contact details were collected from interested parties to facilitate follow-up and provide more tailored information. Participation in the Barcelona International Boat Show allows for maintaining contact with potential users and industry professionals, opening new opportunities, and strengthening ties with stakeholders contributing to the development of nautical activities.

The collaboration between the Tourism Board, Cambrils Nautical Club, and Semac plans to continue this joint promotion by participating in other specialised nautical fairs at both national and international levels. This line of work aims to reinforce Cambrils’ positioning as a nautical destination, reaching a broader range of potential tourists and accessing more specialised audience segments with interests and needs linked to navigation and nautical services.
