Thirty children participate in marine biology workshops in La Línea

Around 30 children are participating in marine biology workshops organised by Ecolocaliza, which began two weeks ago at the Casa de la Cultura in La Línea. This initiative is supported by the municipal departments of Culture and the Environment, led by Councillor Raquel Ñeco.

The workshops, part of the 2026/27 academic year, have been structured into various groups and levels to accommodate both new participants and those returning from previous editions. The programme is designed for children aged between 3 and 13 years and will continue until June 2027.

Activities are tailored to ensure effective learning, with a focus on practical experiences. Children will engage in crafts, games, team activities, and experiments to learn about marine life, including dolphins, whales, invertebrates, and algae. The curriculum covers aspects such as biology, environmental respect, and the threats facing these species, as well as research into the coastal ecosystem of La Línea.
