On 21 November at 18:00, the Teatro Municipal will open its doors to families with 'La Bruja Rechinadientes', an engaging production by the award-winning Katua&Galea Teatro. This performance blends puppetry, music, and adventure, drawing inspiration from classic witch stories and folklore, and is loosely based on the acclaimed book of the same name published by OQO.
The narrative follows three brave siblings who, ignoring their mother's warnings, venture into a dark forest. There, they stumble upon a mysterious house inhabited by an evil witch. To escape and return home safely, the trio must confront their fears, working together and using their wits.
Audiences will not be alone on this fascinating journey, as the stage features quirky and surprising characters, including a four-eyed rat, a winged fish—products of failed spells—three lively skeletons with their own dance chorus, and the titular Bruja Rechinadientes herself. The production is notable for its stunning and immersive set design, remarkable puppets, and an extensive array of audiovisual effects and lighting that fully envelop the audience in this magical world.
Additionally, the performance boasts an incredible original soundtrack, which families can take home and enjoy after the show via a QR code provided during the event.
