The Turolense Bullfighting Association El Ruedo, alongside the Teruel City Council, is set to host a bullfighting event on 1 November, coinciding with All Saints' Day, to pay tribute to Pepe Vicente Lapuente for his significant contributions to bullfighting.

David Navarro from the El Ruedo Association expressed the importance of recognising individuals while they are still alive, noting, “This time it could not be,” highlighting Lapuente as a beloved figure within the bullfighting community. Carlos Méndez, the city’s bullring councillor, described the upcoming event as “a date that has become a tradition in the Turolense bullfighting calendar.”

Since 2017, the El Ruedo Association has organised this event at the Teruel bullring, showcasing various popular festivities. According to Antonio Ros from the association, the programme will commence at 16:15 with a tribute to Pepe Vicente Lapuente, followed by an exhibition of the best animals from the Pedro Domínguez livestock in Funes, Navarra, at 16:30. The event will conclude with a 'toro embolado', a traditional bull event.

The event features four main sections: Arte del Ruedo, with participants including Sergio Andrés “Wida”, Fernando Jarque, Miguel Mor “Miguelico”, and Nacho Martínez; Anilla del Ruedo, with Saúl Pardo facing Rosita 833 from Los Chatos; Ilusión del Ruedo, featuring Pedro Martínez, Guillermo Casino, Guillermo Quiles, Borja Pozo “Matraka”, and Mario Delgado; and Oportunidad del Ruedo, with Clemente Petalas “Tayson”, Óscar Aguilar, Sergio Lara, Alonso García, and Jon Ganuza.

Tickets are available for purchase in advance for €9 at Bar Letour and Cafetería Noche y Día, or €12 at the box office. Children under 12 can enter for free if accompanied by an adult. This event continues a nearly decade-long tradition held on All Saints' Day, combining recognition of key figures in bullfighting with various popular exhibitions.
