Palencia to host urban art laboratory on 24 October

Artist Fumantwo, alongside the Cultural Association of Palentino Artists (ACAP) and the City Council of Palencia, is set to launch the 'Urban Art Laboratory - Experiment_1'. This initiative aims to infuse colour and creativity into the exterior of the Diego Cosgaya Pavilion in the city on Saturday, 24 October.

The event will feature a notable lineup of invited creators, including El Chorro, Tello de la Vega, Sergio García, Sete, Sarrapao, and Fumantwo himself, accompanied by music from Unequal. Central to this event is its strong social, community-oriented, and participatory character. Under the rallying cry of "Come paint with us! There’s paint for everyone!!", the project seeks to break down the barriers between artist and spectator.

The organisers invite all citizens, regardless of age or prior experience, to pick up materials and actively participate in the creation of the artwork. The aim is to democratise urban art and transform public spaces into meeting points and expressions for all residents of Palencia.

The artistic day will run continuously from 11:00 to 18:00. Additionally, there will be a communal pause at 14:00 for a large paella, fostering the spirit of togetherness and community that the event promotes. This is an opportunity for the city not only to observe art but to create it.
