The city council of València has initiated the administrative process for grants aimed at fallas commissions to support the creation of both large and children's fallas for the 2027 celebrations. The planned funding amounts to €2,694,438.49.
The proposal includes grants equivalent to 30% of the taxable base declared by the commissions, subject to the limits and conditions established in the forthcoming call for applications.
Santiago Ballester, the councillor responsible for Fallas, emphasised the significance of these grants in supporting the work of the commissions and contributing to the execution of the fallas, which are a hallmark of València's festivities.
Expected timeline
One of the objectives of the Fallas Delegation is to streamline administrative timelines so that commissions can submit their applications before Christmas, ensuring that the grants are disbursed before the construction of the monuments begins.
The call for applications is still pending approval. The timeline for submitting applications, along with the requirements, documentation, and conditions for granting and disbursing funds, will be outlined in the official call and its regulations.
