The José Riquelme Municipal Library is celebrating the festivities of All Saints' Day and Halloween with a variety of cultural and educational activities running until 31 October.
Until 30 October, the library features two thematic bibliographic selections: 'Readings to keep you awake', focusing on young adult fiction, and 'Spooky readings', available in the children's area. Both initiatives encourage visitors to engage with literature through stories related to mystery and horror.
On Tuesday, 27 October, at 18:00, there will be a children's environmental storytelling session titled 'Bat Stories, an evening with the bats'. Organised by the SIE Caxara association in the children's room, this activity will explore the biology and habits of bats. Admission is free until capacity is reached.
On Thursday, 29 October, at 18:00, the library will host 'The Enchanted Library', a storytelling and workshop event aimed at children aged 4 to 11. This activity requires prior registration in person at the library, with limited spaces available.
The programme will conclude on Saturday, 31 October, at 19:00, with a theatrical performance titled 'About Don Juan Tenorio, a tale of Doña Inés de Ulloa'. The Serendipia Global company will present a dramatized adaptation of the literary classic by José Zorrilla within the library's premises.
To attend the activities on 29 and 31 October, prior registration is essential, with the registration period open from 28 October at 10:00 until 30 October. Interested participants can call 956696241, email biblioteca@lalinea.es, or register directly at the library's public service desk.
