The city council of Guadalajara has announced several changes to its planned municipal and leisure activities in light of the three days of official mourning declared following the tragic train accident in Urda.
In a gesture of respect for the victims, their families, and all those affected, the Halloween activities scheduled at La Concordia park and the Plaza de Toros will now take place entirely on Sunday. The storytelling event titled 'Cuentos de Miedo' at the José Antonio Suárez de Puga Municipal Library is still set to occur on 30 October at 6 PM.
Additionally, the traditional senior citizens' dance, originally planned for Saturday, will also be moved to Sunday. However, the vermouth event that was to be held on Saturday at La Concordia park has been cancelled.
Furthermore, a conference on menopause scheduled for today at the Tragaluz Space has been postponed, with a new date to be announced by the organisers in due course.
The city council expresses gratitude for the understanding of residents regarding these changes and reiterates its condolences and solidarity with the victims of the train accident, their families, and all those affected by this tragedy.
