The gastronomic route 'a la tardor, platillos!' is set to return, showcasing a total of 31 establishments from 5 to 22 November in its 12th edition aimed at celebrating local cuisine. This year's event surpasses last year's participation, featuring both traditional and signature dishes.
Over the course of two and a half weeks, local restaurateurs will present traditional recipes, including hearty stews and dishes made with seasonal ingredients such as mushrooms, chestnuts, and game meats. Additionally, offerings will include artisanal cheeses, creative croquettes, and international fusion options that highlight local produce.
For just €4.50, participants can sample a dish accompanied by a drink, which can be a glass of wine, beer, water, or a soft drink. Some establishments will also provide the option to take the dish home.
Event details and collaborations
Each edition of 'a la tardor, platillos!' features a patron, and this year, the role is filled by communicator Edu Mutante. The event marks the conclusion of the annual gastronomic route calendar in l'hospitalet, which also includes the 'primavera de tapes' and various routes during local festivals.
The initiative is organised in collaboration with the l'hospitalet Gremi d’Hostaleria and the blog 'l'hospitalet gastronòmic', aiming to promote local dining, showcase the city's diverse gastronomic offerings, and enhance l'hospitalet's reputation as a culinary tourism destination.
Awards and public participation
As is customary, culinary proposals will be eligible for awards, as will the public. A professional jury, comprising representatives from the Gremi d’Hostaleria, the 'l'hospitalet gastronòmic' blog, and the Centre de Formació de Hosteleria, will grant awards for the 'most delicious dish', 'most creative dish', and 'best gastronomic quality dish'. The awards ceremony is scheduled for 3 December.
Customers will have the opportunity to vote for the 'most popular dish' by submitting a ballot at each participating establishment. To ensure a valid vote, the ballot must be stamped by three different venues. Various prizes from collaborating companies will be drawn among all participants. Additionally, the 'l'hospitalet gastronòmic' blog will hold a raffle for a €50 gift voucher to enjoy local dining. To enter, participants must follow the social media accounts of l'hospitalet Turisme, comment on the raffle post, and tag another profile.
