Espacio Abierto, a cultural centre in Madrid focused on early childhood and adolescence, is set to host three immersive performances aimed at children aged 0 to 5 years. These events will explore themes of light, music, and language, providing sensory experiences for families.
The first performance, Obertura, by the company 10 HZ & Imaginart, will take place on 13 November at 17:30 and 14 November at 12:30 as part of the elPetit festival. This show invites audiences to experience the nuances between the tangible and intangible through light and music.
Additionally, the installation Xarxa/Red by Eva Vázquez Abraham has been ongoing at Espacio Abierto, encouraging visitors to contribute to a large textile network through open meetings. This installation is available from Wednesday to Sunday, with continuous sessions from 11:00 to 14:00 and 16:00 to 19:00, until 29 November, excluding 14 November.
On 28 November, Concierto de nanas de invierno by Christian Fernández Mirón will offer a soothing concert where attendees are encouraged to wear pyjamas and slippers. This performance celebrates the creative process from workshops held throughout the year, where families have collaborated on lullabies. Two shows are scheduled for 12:30 and 17:30.
Finally, the theatrical piece Plenilunio by Fàbrica de Paraules will close the programme on 5 December, featuring a playful mix of songs, stories, and rhymes. This performance is part of the Luz de invierno festival, organised by Espacio Abierto in collaboration with the Retiro Puppet Theatre, with shows at 12:30 and 17:30.
Tickets for all events are available on the Espacio Abierto website, with a limited number reserved for same-day purchase at the venue.
