On 20 October at 17:30, a storytelling session for babies, titled 'Colorín colorete', will be held at the Municipal Library of Tui, featuring actress Charo Pita. Known for her extensive experience in oral storytelling, Pita engages her audience by using her body and voice, varying the tones for each character and incorporating gestures and small songs that invite participation.
As Pita describes, the performance combines elements of the beloved phrase 'Colorín Colorete', which signifies the end of all stories, along with songs and kisses that evoke warmth and tenderness. She notes, 'There were once... a colorín colorete...'.
Sonsoles Vicente Solla, the councillor for Education, Culture and Youth at the Concello de Tui, encourages participation in this activity aimed at children aged 0 to 3 years, where stories and songs will share the spotlight with small tales and games. This event is part of the Ler Conta Moito programme, designed to promote public libraries by the Consellería de Cultura, Lengua y Juventud of the Xunta de Galicia.
