tarraco hybrid series to host over 1,000 athletes in tarragona

The Tarraco Hybrid Series is set to take place on Saturday, 24 October, in Tarragona, with over 1,000 athletes registered and all spots filled. This marks the third edition of the event, which has established itself as a significant occasion in the hybrid fitness calendar and highlights the city's growing reputation as a venue for sporting events.

Hosted at the Natalia Rodríguez athletics stadium within the Anella Mediterrània, the competition will combine running with functional exercises that test endurance, strength, and speed. Various categories and participation modalities will cater to both seasoned athletes and newcomers to this discipline.

The high level of participation this year reflects a growing interest in hybrid fitness, a format that merges elements from different sports, including fitness, cross-training, and athletics. Beyond the competitive aspect, the Tarraco Hybrid Series aims to serve as a gathering point for athletes, enthusiasts, and families alike.

To encourage community involvement, public access to the event will be free. The day will also feature additional activities, including a food area, sports equipment sales, and a challenge zone with various raffles and prizes to be awarded on-site.

The competition will commence at 8 am and run until 5 pm. Supported by the Tarragona City Council through Tarragona Esport, the event also maintains a commitment to social responsibility by collaborating financially with the local association Si yo puedo, tú también #epilep. This partnership aims to enhance the work of the Tarragona-based organisation and highlight the positive impact of sport in promoting values such as effort, personal growth, and solidarity.
