Benalmádena de letras to showcase 38 local authors in Arroyo de la Miel shops

The fourth edition of ‘Benalmádena de Letras’ will bring together 38 local authors in shops along Sol, Luna, San Antonio, and Félix Solesio streets in Arroyo de la Miel. Scheduled for Friday, 23 October, this initiative is supported by the Benalmádena Association of Traders and Entrepreneurs (ACEB) and the Benalmádena Open Commercial Centre Association (ACCAB), in collaboration with various local bookstores and publishers.

Rosa María González Rubia, president of ACEB, emphasised that this event is held for the fourth consecutive year to enhance the visibility of local businesses and provide authors with a platform to promote their works. This year, the event will run from 10:00 to 14:00 and from 17:00 to 20:00.

During the event, a social media competition will offer participants the chance to win a €30 gift voucher by posting a photo with their authors signing books, using the hashtag #benalmadenadetras. Additionally, students from several secondary schools in Benalmádena will read excerpts from works by local authors.

Among the participating writers are María Laura Zavoyovski, Daniel Jiménez, María José González-Román, and Diego Nieto, each presenting works across various literary genres. This event aims to merge culture with local commerce, transforming shops into cultural meeting points for the community.
