azz hoteles is making significant strides in the recovery of hacienda la boticaria, one of the most noteworthy tourism and heritage rehabilitation projects currently underway in andalusia. the reopening of the historic complex, located just minutes from sevilla, is scheduled for spring 2027.

the project aims to restore and enhance one of sevilla's most emblematic sites, transforming it into a premier experiential destination in southern europe. it will offer a unique blend of heritage, exclusivity, nature, and authenticity, targeting high-value tourism and corporate events, as well as distinctive gastronomic experiences and large celebrations.

“when we analysed hacienda la boticaria, we saw much more than a hotel establishment. we saw the opportunity to recover a unique place and transform it into a destination capable of generating economic activity, employment, and experiences throughout the year,” said nicolás álvarez-cervera, ceo of azz hoteles.

the intervention will involve restoring existing buildings, enhancing outdoor spaces, updating infrastructure, and creating a unique experiential offering in andalusia. the complex will span 65 hectares and include 130 rooms with a capacity for 267 guests, alongside over 180,000 square metres of outdoor spaces and facilities for large events.

among its features, the salón sevilla will accommodate over 2,000 attendees, positioning hacienda la boticaria as one of the largest private venues for conferences and corporate meetings in andalusia. the project is designed to transcend the traditional hotel model, becoming a destination in its own right.

the main building will cover more than 37,000 square metres and will include a comprehensive experiential proposal where accommodation is just one aspect of a broader experience. the complex will integrate a wellness centre and spa, renowned dining options, family activities, equestrian experiences, and spaces for large events, all linked to nature, culture, and heritage.

the proposal will also feature two botanical gardens, a productive and visitable orchard, and a carriage museum, creating an experiential ecosystem that encourages visitors to explore, stay, and return. hacienda la boticaria aims to provide a different perspective on sevilla, combining heritage, nature, wellness, and culture in a unique setting connected to the region's identity.

the future opening of hacienda la boticaria is expected to significantly boost the economy and tourism in the province of sevilla. the recovery of this iconic complex will generate direct and indirect employment, attract new segments of national and international tourism, and enhance the destination's capacity to host major events, conferences, and celebrations.

azz hoteles is currently working with various institutions and business organisations to showcase the project's evolution and strengthen its contribution to positioning sevilla as a premium tourism destination for corporate events and high-value experiences. the recovery of hacienda la boticaria is part of a long-term vision focused on preserving heritage, generating employment, and creating projects that add value to the territory.
