José Ignacio Landaluce, the mayor of Algeciras, has announced the results of the ‘Tosantos 2026’ school drawing competition, which seeks to promote creativity among students and uphold one of the city's most cherished traditions. The announcement was made on 19 October 2026, alongside deputy mayors Yéssica Rodríguez and Patricia Bueno.

This year’s festival poster will feature the artwork of Eva Fernández Delgado, a sixth-grade student from Colegio Salesianos – María Auxiliadora, who won first prize. The second prize went to Gemma Rivas, a fifth-grade student from CEIP Blanca de los Ríos, while the third prize was awarded to Daría Rodríguez Villas, a fourth-grade student from CEIP General Castaños.

The jury also granted a special mention to Johanna Diez Sensaic, a fourth-grade student from CEIP General Castaño, and a special award to Santiago Barba Teodoro from CEEE Virgen de la Esperanza, recognising their outstanding contributions.

The jury comprised representatives from various local organisations, including Apymeal, Actyma, Hosteal, Aepa, RecreAryte, the Algeciras School of Art, and municipal delegations for Markets, Education, and Fairs and Festivals, along with photographer Erasmo Fenoy. They were also presented with diplomas of appreciation for their collaboration in the event.

Mayor Landaluce congratulated the winners and all participants, praising the “high quality of the submitted drawings and the evident effort put into their creation.” He noted that this year saw an impressive participation rate, with 973 drawings submitted from 20 educational institutions in the city, a figure that continues to grow with each edition, showcasing the talent of the younger generations and their connection to local traditions.
