The number of registered unemployed individuals in daimiel reached 1,276 at the end of august 2026, according to the latest unemployment data. This figure represents an increase of 13 people compared to july, when there were 1,263 unemployed, and an increase of five compared to august 2025, which recorded 1,271 unemployed.
By sector, services continue to account for the majority of unemployment in daimiel, with 912 individuals, although this marks a significant decrease from the previous month. In contrast, the construction sector saw the largest monthly increase, rising from 103 unemployed in july to 129 in august, an increase of 26 individuals.
In agriculture, unemployment also decreased slightly, from 40 individuals in july to 38 in august, while the industrial sector recorded 66 unemployed, one less than the previous month. Additionally, the group of individuals without prior employment increased by four, reaching 131 compared to 127 in july.
On a year-on-year basis, the trend also reflects a slight increase. Daimiel recorded 1,271 unemployed individuals in august 2025, compared to 1,276 in august 2026, an approximate increase of half a percentage point.
