The local government of Villarrubia de los Ojos has taken the opportunity to promote the town's agro-food and tourism resources at the 'Fiesta de la Vendimia', hosted by Onda Cero Ciudad Real.

Mayor Encarnación Medina, alongside councillors Sonia Ruiz and María de la Sierra Banegas, participated in the radio programme 'Más de uno La Mancha', which focused on the wine harvest festival. The event was sponsored by the town hall, local cooperative El Progreso, and the Denomination of Origin La Mancha.

During the programme, they highlighted the cultural, tourist, and agricultural assets of Villarrubia de los Ojos, aiming to raise awareness at both provincial and regional levels.

Other participants included Lucía Banegas, president of the Hermandad de San Isidro, and local farmers Florencio Rodríguez and Felipe Cañadilla, who discussed the significance of the harvest and the festival. Santiago Díaz del Campo, a digitaliser and researcher from the Municipal Archive, also contributed to the discussion.

The programme featured an interview with Jesús Julián Casanova, president of El Progreso, along with several experts from the olive oil cooperative, which is recognised at a European level.
