Ronda will host the 35th national medicine tunas competition on 13 and 14 November. Organised by the Tuna de Medicina de Málaga, the event will see participation from more than 300 tunos representing universities such as Alicante, Badajoz, Granada, Pamplona, Sevilla, and Valencia.

The festivities will kick off on Friday, 13 November, with a parade starting at 19:00 from Plaza del Socorro. The procession will move through Plaza de España and culminate at the balcony of the Parador, where the tunos will serenade those in the vicinity.

Rebeca Muñoz, the councillor for festivities, expressed her delight at hosting this gathering, noting that the tunas are synonymous with fun. She also mentioned the participation of a female tuna from the Faculty of Medicine in Málaga.

Pepe Partal, a member of the organising tuna, described the event as a visually stunning spectacle rich in cultural and artistic value, as tunas from across Spain come together to perform traditional music and dance. On Saturday, the performances will take place from 17:00 to 22:00 at the Vicente Espinel municipal theatre, with free entry, concluding with an awards ceremony.
