Ordino Arcalís reports 5% increase in summer-autumn visitors

Ordino Arcalís has successfully wrapped up its summer-autumn season, reporting a total of 73,000 visitors, which marks a 5% increase from the previous year. The resort, which began its summer activities on 6 June, kept access to the Tristaina Solar Viewpoint open until 1 November.

With the influx of visitors over the past few months, the circular structure, located at an altitude of 2,700 metres, has now surpassed 530,000 total visitors since its inauguration in July 2021.

This summer, astronomical phenomena and mountain activities were at the forefront of the resort's offerings. Notably, activities related to the solar phenomenon at Arcalís took place on 6 and 7 August, allowing observers to witness sunlight passing through a crevice in the mountain for a brief period. Another highlight was the solar eclipse on 12 August, which drew over 200 participants to the Tristaina Solar Viewpoint. Although the eclipse itself was not visible, the event provided an opportunity to engage attendees with astronomy in a stunning mountain setting.

As the summer-autumn season comes to a close, Ordino Arcalís is now focusing on preparations for the upcoming winter season, with plans to open the ski slopes on 4 December, weather permitting.
