The Department of Culture, Sport and Tourism of the Government of Navarra has announced a new funding initiative aimed at supporting art and education projects in public and concerted educational centres across the region. The total budget for this initiative is €70,003.
This funding opportunity is specifically targeted at non-profit organisations based in Navarra, with the aim of launching projects in the aforementioned educational centres during the 2026-2027 and 2027-2028 academic years. The Department of Education will also participate in the evaluation committee for the proposed initiatives.
Projects must be conducted within the educational centres during school hours and should encourage collaboration between artistic and cultural agents. The goal is to incorporate and integrate artistic languages, practices, and methodologies into the learning processes, as well as to enhance knowledge and active engagement with cultural heritage.
Each project can secure a minimum budget of €8,000 and a maximum of €20,000, with implementation scheduled between 1 January 2026 and 30 June 2028, inclusive. Initiatives are expected to take place in various educational settings, including Early Childhood, Primary, Secondary, Basic, Intermediate and Higher Vocational Training, as well as in Special Education centres, all of which can be either public or concerted.
According to the requirements outlined in the funding call, project development must involve direct collaboration among teaching staff, students, and professionals from the fields of creation, education, or artistic and cultural mediation.
The funds for this initiative are fully financed by the Ministry of Culture, as part of the Cultural Rights Plan established by the State. This plan aims to activate and strengthen partnerships between cultural and artistic agents and educational centres across the country, facilitating the development of context-specific artistic-educational projects tailored to the unique realities and circumstances of each centre and educational community.
The overarching objective is to foster students' artistic and creative skills, enhance their understanding of artistic languages and practices through experimentation, and establish a solid foundation from an early age to support their effective and full participation in cultural life.
