Ventorrillo celebrates its patronal festivities with a diverse cultural and musical program until October 12

From October 9 to 12, the Ventorrillo neighborhood in A Coruña will host its patronal festivities, featuring a program designed for all ages that combines music, children's activities, popular traditions, gastronomy, and cultural proposals. This event is organized by the Ventorrillo Neighborhood Association with support from the A Coruña City Council through grants for neighborhood festivities.

The festivities will kick off on Friday, October 9, at 5:30 PM with children's activities led by Axiña Animación, a swordsmanship demonstration, and the opening speech by Luis Suárez Santos and Adelaida Pittaluga Albo at 9:00 PM. The day will conclude with a dance party featuring the group Claxxon and a DJ session by Key's DJ starting at 10:00 PM.

Saturday, October 10, will be one of the central days of the festivities, featuring musical storytelling, swing and lindy hop exhibitions, a vermouth session, the children's competition 'Talento del Vento,' and a tribute to Pucho Boedo. The evening will include performances by the orchestra Los Satélites and singer Paco Lodeiro, followed by a DJ session with Hugo Mosquera and DFranco starting at 9:30 PM.

On Sunday, October 11, the event will feature a new edition of O Mercado do Vento, an artisan market, alongside activities such as an open tai-chi class, musical performances, karaoke competitions, and concerts by Señales de Fatiga, Os Piñeiros, and Clandestinos.

The celebrations will conclude on Monday, October 12, with a program that includes parades, dance exhibitions, live music, and a traditional rap battle to close the festive program.

The Ventorrillo festivities are a highlight of the city's neighborhood calendar and exemplify the dynamic role of neighborhood associations in organizing activities open to the community. The A Coruña City Council encourages residents to participate in a program that blends tradition, culture, and leisure, strengthening community ties and coexistence in the neighborhood.
