The Concello de Burela has announced the opening of registrations for the 2026 Christmas Market and Flea Market, set to occur on 28 and 29 November 2026 at the plaza de la Mariña. The market will operate from 10:30 to 20:30 each day.
This initiative aims to promote local commerce, showcase craftsmanship, and encourage the reuse of products through a dedicated area for second-hand items. The market will be divided into two distinct zones: one for crafts, including Christmas decorations, handmade toys, and food products, and the other for second-hand goods, where used items in good condition such as clothing, accessories, books, and games can be offered.
Individuals, artisans, cultural or community associations, freelancers, and adults with handmade products or second-hand items are eligible to apply for a stall. Participation is free, and spaces will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, with priority given to handmade and local creations to encourage local production and proximity commerce.
Lina Gómez, the Councillor for Culture, emphasised that “the Christmas Market and Flea Market is an opportunity for artisans, creators, and individuals to showcase their products while contributing to the commercial activity in Burela during the Christmas season.”
Interested parties must complete the registration form available on the Concello de Burela's website or request it via email, sending it to cultura@burela.org by 15 November 2026.
