The Asturian government is set to activate a special public transport shuttle service on Monday to ease travel to and from Ribeseya/Ribadesella during the installation of a new deck on the bridge over the estuary. This initiative, managed by the Transport Consortium of Asturias (CTA), will provide 28 return services on weekdays and 25 on weekends and public holidays.
All services will be included in the CONECTA card benefits, which allows unlimited use of public transport in Asturias for a maximum of €20 per month. The shuttles will also connect with the line heading to Gijón/Xixón in the nearby town of Bones.
On weekdays, the service will operate from 06:15 to 21:15, departing from El Picu, and from 07:15 to 21:45 from the town. The stops along the route will include: La Juncalera (roundabout), Ribeseya/Ribadesella bus station, Tejera de Lloviu, Bones, San Esteban de Leces, Urbanización Astursella, and El Picu.
During weekends, shuttle hours will extend from 08:45 to 21:45 from El Picu, and from 09:15 to 22:15 for returns from the town. Additionally, eight weekday shuttle services will connect with the CTA line to Gijón/Xixón at Bones.
