Xunta supports 'O Mercado sabe a Outono' campaign in Lugo to promote local shopping
The Xunta is backing the 'O Mercado sabe a Outono' campaign, which will start on 5 November in Lugo, to encourage purchases at the Plaza de Abastos and the Municipal Market. Shoppers will receive a gift upon presenting their receipts.
The Xunta is supporting the 'O Mercado sabe a Outono' campaign, initiated by the Lugo City Council to promote shopping at the Plaza de Abastos and the Municipal Market of Quiroga Ballesteros. The territorial delegate, Alfonso Villares, along with Lugo's mayor, Elena Candia, and other city council representatives, presented the initiative today.
The campaign will commence on Thursday, 5 November, and will continue on the 6th, 7th, 9th, and 10th of November during morning hours. Customers who shop at the plaza or the market and present their receipts will receive a complimentary cone of roasted chestnuts from a stall set up between the two venues during these days.
Villares highlighted that this initiative is part of broader efforts across the province to enhance local commerce, a sector that boosts the economy in Lugo, revitalises city centres, and encourages the consumption of local products.
