Jordi Faulí, the architect director of the Sagrada Familia, delivered a lecture on Antoni Gaudí and his ties to the city of Vic on Friday in the Sala de la Columna at Vic Town Hall. This event is part of the Year of Gaudí, commemorating the centenary of the architect's death.
The connection between Gaudí and Vic dates back to 1910, when he stayed in the city for several weeks to recover from a health issue. During that same year, two lanterns designed by Gaudí were inaugurated in the main square, although they no longer exist today.
The day also included the unveiling of a commemorative plaque at Casa Rocafiguera, the residence where Gaudí stayed during his time in Vic.
