The Federation of Peñas of CD Tenerife has invited all supporters of the blanquiazul club to gather this evening at 18:00 at door 9 of the Heliodoro Rodríguez López stadium to observe a minute of silence in memory of Jesús de Miguel, who has sadly passed away.
In a statement, the Federation expressed, “In these difficult times, we want to remain more united than ever.”
Jesús de Miguel, a 30-year-old forward for CD Tenerife, died on Tuesday at the Hospital Universitario de Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, where he had been in intensive care since the previous night due to a serious injury sustained during a match against FC Andorra.
The incident occurred on Monday during the closing stages of the game at the Heliodoro Rodríguez López stadium, when de Miguel collided accidentally with the visiting goalkeeper, Jesús Owono, while contesting a loose ball.
