The xxx Castells Competition in Tarragona will hold its awards ceremony on Saturday, 31 October, at 12:00 in the Plaça de la Font, located in front of the Tarragona City Hall. This event is open to the public and free of charge, and it will be broadcast live on TAC12 and La Xarxa.
During the ceremony, awards will also be presented to the best groups of grallers from the participating colles, recognising their musical contributions and essential role in the castells tradition.
The ceremony was rescheduled due to adverse weather conditions and restrictions related to the activation of the INUNCAT emergency plan, which prevented the completion of the awards ceremonies as originally planned during the competition weekend on 3 and 4 October at the CaixaBank Tarraco Arena. The exceptional situation necessitated changes to the event schedule, including the suspension of closing ceremonies and the postponement of Sunday’s activities until 16:00, ensuring the safety of all castellers, castelleres, attendees, and organisers.
This new ceremony aims to acknowledge the participating colles and formally conclude a thirtieth edition marked by high standards of performance and the adaptability of all involved in response to exceptional circumstances.
