The Convent of Santo Domingo will be the venue for the Fin de Vendimia event this Saturday, celebrating the end of the grape harvest in Ronda. Organised by the Association of Winemakers and Viticulturists of Ronda, the event has received support from the local council, with the mayor, Mari Paz Fernández, and other officials in attendance during its presentation on Tuesday.

Fin de Vendimia will take place from 11:00 to 22:00, featuring a variety of activities. The day will begin with a professional-only session at 11:00, including an informative talk about Ronda's wines. At 12:00, a posthumous tribute will be paid to deceased winemakers, alongside the presentation of an award to a notable figure from Ronda.

From 12:30, the Convent will host food stalls from local producers and tasting opportunities from each participating winery. Additionally, the iconic Puente Nuevo will serve as the backdrop for a children's grape stomping event at 13:00, while workshops explaining the fermentation process will take place from 12:30.

The festivities will continue at 18:00 with live music performances, featuring Angelito and Simbad, followed by Boleros Duros at 19:00 and a DJ session with DJ Barea at 20:30.

Mayor Fernández has invited both residents and visitors to enjoy the celebrations, highlighting the importance of the wine sector in Ronda, which boasts around thirty wineries that promote viticulture and wine tourism. She also noted the significance of the Ronda and Málaga Wine Route, certified by the Spanish Association of Wine Cities (Acevin).
