The International Session of Scientific Communications at the Museum of Crisuri Country in Oradea is a significant cultural event in Europe. Jorge A. Soler, the archaeologist and director of the Museo de Bellas Artes de Alicante (MUBAG), is set to inaugurate the conference with a keynote address on the history and art of Alicante.
The fourth International Session of Scientific Communications will commence with Soler's presentation titled "Alicante, Art, Prehistory, and Museums." In this talk, he will share insights into Alicante's experience in heritage, archaeology, conservation, outreach, and museography. Soler is also a professor at the Department of Prehistory at the University of Alicante.
Organisers of the event have noted that Soler's invitation stems from the strong collaborative ties between the universities of Oradea and Alicante, as well as his esteemed scientific and professional background in archaeology, heritage, and art.
Last year, a delegation from the Museum of Crisuri Country visited Alicante, touring various sites including the MARQ (Archaeological Museum of Alicante) and MUBAG, which left a lasting impression on the Romanian museum director, Dr Gabriel Moisa.
The conference is organised by the Museum of Crisuri Country – Museum Complex, the Faculty of History, International Relations, Political Science and Communication Sciences at the University of Oradea, the Interdisciplinary Studies Centre Oradea–Chisináu of the Romanian Academy, the State University of Moldova, and the "Friends of the Museum of Crisuri Country" Association, with support from the Bihor County Council and the City Hall of Oradea.
