The Multiusos Sergio García in Torrelavega will host ‘La Noche de las Sombras’ on Saturday, 31 October, a new initiative to celebrate Halloween. This event promises attendees an immersive experience in a fantasy universe, featuring actors, challenges, activities, an artists' market, and live music with a DJ.
Nacho González, the city’s Youth Councillor, presented the initiative alongside Sara Martínez from Etérea Producciones, the local company organising the event, and Cristian Hidalgo, a collaborator. ‘La Noche de las Sombras’ will take place from 18:30 to 02:00 and is aimed at those aged 18 and over.
The event seeks to provide an alternative leisure option where attendees will not just be spectators but will actively participate in a story crafted specifically for the occasion. According to Sara Martínez, this format has been developing in various European capitals and has also reached cities like Madrid and Barcelona. Now, Etérea Producciones aims to bring this type of experience to Torrelavega, a city noted for its interest in alternative leisure activities linked to fantasy and live role-playing.
Martínez emphasised that the goal is for participants to “become part of a world we have created for this event.” To achieve this, they will need to overcome different challenges that will allow them to access various factions within the story, interact with characters, and witness scenes performed by actors.
The programme will also include a market featuring various artists, activities, and themed spaces designed to enhance the fantasy experience. The event will conclude with a party featuring a DJ and music, lasting until approximately 02:00.
This initiative stems from Etérea Producciones’ desire to introduce a different entertainment format to the city, particularly aimed at those who enjoy fantasy, characterisation, and participatory experiences.
