Eglobe Tecla Sala has recorded its fourth defeat of the season after being outplayed by CB Tarragona, who secured a convincing 53-80 victory. The visitors showcased their superiority at key moments of the game.
The match began positively for Tecla Sala, as the team, led by Cristian Gómez, aimed to regain their previous form. They started strong, dominating the scoreboard with intensity and speed, reminiscent of their performance from last season.
However, CB Tarragona, a team rich in talent, managed to respond effectively. Under the guidance of coach Toni Larramona, they shifted the momentum, taking the first quarter 18-21.
Before the halftime break, the visitors solidified their lead, extending it to 28-41. Despite the break, Tecla Sala maintained its competitive spirit, but Tarragona continued to perform well. With both teams displaying similar intensity, the visitors' quality ultimately made the difference.
In the final quarter, the gap widened, leaving little room for a comeback from Tecla Sala. Ultimately, CB Tarragona emerged victorious with a score of 53-80. Despite the loss, Tecla Sala showed promise for much of the match.
Looking ahead, Cristian Gómez's team will prepare for their next fixture, which will take place at home on Saturday against CB Esparreguera, as they aim to break their negative streak.
