The cultural councillor of Talavera de la Reina, Enrique Etayo, has announced two upcoming events in celebration of All Saints' Day. La Noche del Miedo will take place on 30 October, while the second part of the radioplay El Cuenco y el Diablo is scheduled for 1 November at the Teatro Victoria. Both events aim to immerse the audience in the mysterious and terrifying tales of the city.
During a press conference, Etayo was joined by Josete Flores, President of the Ocultura Talavera Association, and Carlos Palomeque, a voice actor and creator of ‘La Magia de la Voz’. The councillor emphasised the importance of exploring diverse formats to bring culture closer to the community.
The cast of El Cuenco y el Diablo features notable voice actors, including Eduardo Gutiérrez, known for voicing Stewie in Family Guy and directing dubbing for the Harry Potter series; Antonio Esquivias, the voice of Secondary Bob from The Simpsons and Frasier; and Carlos del Pino, the voice of Ned Flanders and Tyrion Lannister. Other cast members include Eva Lorenzo, a voice actor with 18 years of experience specialising in video games and the corporate voice of Nickelodeon, Alfonso Evia, presenter of Estando Contigo on Castilla La Mancha Media, and Vega Flores, daughter of Josete Flores. The production is a collaboration between La Magia de la Voz, Telón Corto, and the Ocultura Talavera Cultural Association.
Additionally, the special event La Noche del Miedo will occur on Friday, 30 October, prior to All Saints' Day. This event will feature previously untold stories from Talavera, gathered from real testimonies of strange and frightening occurrences. The tour will commence at 20:00 from Plaza del Pan, lasting approximately one and a half hours, and participation is free of charge.
